The only work for the unit that I am checking/grading that we have already completed is as follows:1. Mastery Task for "Snapshot of a Modern Learner" was due 2 September.
2. The photo essay was due 11 September.
3. The definition essay. The revised draft (after peer feedback) was due Friday, 28 September.
4. The mastery task for Smoke in Our Lights was due around 11 September
5. The project form for Blank White Page. This is the project where students choose a research question (something they are interested in knowing the answer to) and they do research to find answers to the question. This form is where they choose their first question and tell me who they plan to work with, or if they are doing it on their own. This was due 22 September.
6. Mastery Task for "Hero at 30,000 Feet" & "On the Rainy River". This was due 22 September.
Work from this week and for the rest of the unit that will be in the Unit 1 grade:
7. Unit 1 Assessment (we started this in class. Here are both parts: 1 2) was due on 27 September.
8. Snapshot Blog Post (with a partner), due by the end of the day on Friday, 28 September.
9. Final draft of the definition essay (will be due on or around 11 October)
10. Blank White Page project #1 (due 3-4 October). It must include a list of sources you used to find information, and the project where you demonstrate the knowledge you found.
If it’s not on that list, I am not grading/checking it.
I will accept work from Unit 1 until 5 October. I generally do not allow late work after the unit is over, mostly because it’s just too overwhelming for students to stay current and go back and do late work.
