Humour:
3rd Period Links from class on Tuesday/Wednesday:
to access the list of clips and add your own: bit.ly/funnyin3rd
to access the google form for each clip: bit.ly/isthisfunny
to access the final google form that compares the clips: bit.ly/comparefunny

6th period can find the document at: bit.ly/funniestthing and the other forms are the same.

By Friday, all 3rd/6th period students should have read and analysed "21 Down" (you will receive this on Thursday for 6th period and Friday for 3rd period).

SAX and American Literature:
For the other classes, we worked on the article "Snapshot" in class.  You can find everything on the playlist at bit.ly/lab823

In 1st period and 2nd period, we finished all the tasks on the playlist except for Defining and Analysing Literacy in Snapshot (in 1st period, we did work on it in class. We did not work on it in 2nd) and Blog Post 2.  For those two classes, all three of those assignments should be completed by the start of class on Tuesday, 4 September.

In 4th period, we finished through the Pattern video on the playlist.  By Tuesday, 4 September, you should have completed all the tasks on the playlist.

All classes should have completed assignments 1-6 today (Blank White Page, Tech Set-up, BWP Pictures, Read Syllabus, Watch Mastery Grading video & do google form), as well as assignment 8 (blog post #1).  SAX finished reading "Snapshot" and marking patterns.

Blog post #1 should be written on your kidblog (email me to get a log-in if you don't have one) and should be about the following topic:
SAX & American Lit:
Define literacy.  What does it mean in the 21st century?  What does it mean at Redwood?  What does it mean to be "academically literate"?  What does literacy mean to you?

Language of Humour:
Define humour.  What does it mean to be funny?  What is funny?  What is not funny?  Give at least two examples of something you find funny and say why it is funny.

Note: Language of Humour classes will have time to complete steps 6-7 in class if needed, but are encouraged to complete them at home before class.
