On Thursday (10/17), we did short workshops on gaming, puppet making and racism.  There is no makeup work for those.

On Friday (10/18), here are the assignments:

Salazar's rotation:
  • Write: What do you think employers want from their employees?  What qualities are most important?
  • Watch and write your response : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5S0wSFKdX8
  • Do the Self-Assessment Worksheet (you may need to google some of the terminology to fill out the chart).  Many people received less than full credit because they didn't give a school example for each box.
Williams' rotation:

  • Make a document from this website using the period you are normally in.
  • Take this test: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp#questionnaire
  • Copy the results into that document
  • Take this test: http://www.literacyworks.org/mi/assessment/findyourstrengths.html
  • Copy the results into that document
Morris' rotation:

  • We filmed short segments that reimagined how we wanted a particular subject to be taught in our ideal world.
  • Groups who didn't finish need to schedule a time with Ms. Morris or can choose their own subject (math, science, English, history, PE, foreign language, or an elective) and plan a lesson they would really want to be taught.
  • The plan needs to be well-thought out, and well-communicated in the video.  Puppets are encouraged.
